Join Essex Wildlife Trust for In the Footsteps of Ronald Blythe, a special 6km guided walk exploring the landscapes, people and places that shaped one of Britain’s most celebrated nature writers. Beginning at St Andrew’s Church in Wormingford, the walk follows historic footpaths to Bottengoms, the beloved home Ronald Blythe left to Essex Wildlife Trust, and explores the rich artistic and literary heritage of the Dedham Vale.
Along the way, you’ll discover the influence of nationally acclaimed artists John and Christine Nash, who made Bottengoms their home before Blythe and played a pivotal role in his life. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the historic garden and learn more about the Trust’s vision for Bottengoms as a haven for nature, creativity and learning.
