SGT member Julie Coley is again holding a plant sale/swap in aid of The Great Dixter Charitable Trust Education Programme.
As you will probably know from last year’s SGT visit, the money she raises goes to help Fergus Garrett’s training programme for young students, some of whom have had ‘some knocks in life’ and turns them into top gardeners, charming and confident. Great Dixter is held in such esteem that they will always find a job in the horticultural world.
Her garden will be open all five days and you are welcome to bring friends, have a picnic etc. As usual, none of the plants will be priced, just help yourself to what you would like and put a donation in the box.
Please bring, if you have any, spare plants, cuttings, seedlings etc they will be gratefully received.
The Red Lion pub in the village will be open for coffee and cake if you need refreshing!
They also do lunches but you may need to book.
